INGREDIENTS

A naturally occurring mineral that sits on top of the skin and reflects the sun instead of being absorbed into it.

Benefits: Broad-spectrum protection • Gentle on sensitive skin • Visible coverage

Why we use it in Clay: Our core protector. Creates a mineral shield.

A natural wax from sheep's wool that keeps them dry in the rain.

Benefits: Deep moisture • Water resistance • Flexible wear

Why we use it in Clay: For centuries, shepherds noticed their hands stayed soft even in harsh weather — that was lanolin at work. lanolin is nearly identical to your skin's own oil (sebum), it bonds with your skin's natural oils instead of just sitting on top. That's what makes Clay feel like a second skin, while helping it resist water, salt, and constant movement.

A thick, rich oil pressed from castor beans. It grows in warm tropical regions and has been used for ages to condition and protect skin.

Benefits: Smooth glide, long wear, skin conditioning

Why we use it in Clay: It helps Clay spread evenly while giving the formula the grip it needs to stay put.

A rich, creamy butter pressed from the seed of the mango. Grown in warm tropical regions near the equator.

Benefits: Deep moisture • Soft, smooth feel • Soothes skin

Why we use it in Clay: Mango butter is Clay's comfort layer. It melts into skin, locks in moisture, and leaves you feeling soft instead of dry or tight

A soft, natural clay pulled straight from the earth. It's one of the oldest skin ingredients people have ever used.

Benefits: Oil control • Soft matte finish • Balances skin

Why we use it in Clay: It gives the formula its body and smooth texture, keeps things from feeling greasy, and leaves your skin with a soft, matte finish instead of shiny.

One of nature's oldest protectors — the same wax bees build their whole hive from. It seals, shields, and holds everything together.

Benefits: Water resistant • Tough • Locks in moisture

Why we use it in Clay: Beeswax is the glue that makes Clay last. It builds a breathable shield that stands up to heat, sweat, and everything the ocean throws at you — so your protection stays put instead of washing off.

A tough desert plant wax from the candelilla shrub, born in the dry heat desserts of northern america — built by nature to survive brutal sun.

Benefits: Firms the formula • Handles heat • Glides on smooth • Long wear

Why we use it in Clay: For generations, Indigenous communities used candelilla to waterproof and protect. We use it for the same reason — it gives Clay backbone, so it holds strong through sweat, surf, and long days in the sun.

Known as the "queen of waxes." Harvested from the leaves of Brazil's "Tree of Life," carnauba is one of nature's hardest waxes.

Benefits: Durability, water resistance, heat stability

Why we use it in Clay: For centuries, people in Brazil have used carnauba wax to waterproof, preserve, and protect. We use it to help Clay stay on through surf, sweat, rain, and long days outside.

pure cacao bean powder from the warm tropics near the equator — yep, the same stuff in your favorite chocolates.

Benefits: Natural antioxidants • Skin comfort • protection against free radicals

Why we use it in Clay: Cacoa brings antioxidants that help fight free radicals (the tiny troublemakers from sun and pollution that wear your skin down over time). It also gives Clay its warm, chocolatey smell.

Naturally occurring mineral pigments — the same iron and earth minerals that give clay and soil their color.

Benefits: Natural tint • Added visible & blue-light defense • Blends into skin tones

Why we use it in Clay: Iron oxide gives Clay its warm, natural color that blends into skin. It also absorbs some visible and blue light, which can cause dark spots on certain skin. Zinc handles UVA and UVB; iron oxide extends that protection into visible light.

A powerhouse antioxidant found naturally in seeds and plants — nature's way of keeping good things from going bad.

Benefits: Protects the oils • Supports skin health • Keeps Clay fresh

Why we use it in Clay: Vitamin E guards the formula from breaking down and helps your skin stay healthy over time. One ingredient, two jobs — keeping both Clay and your skin in top shape.
